The Social Cities Index identifies and analyzes indicators and parameters that affect social sustainability in cities.
The Social Cities Index enables the creation of a profile – an easy-to-read diagnosis – of the most important indicators of social sustainability in a city or neighbourhood. Using the profile, stakeholders in city development are able to swiftly identify risks and possibilities, and learn from other cities with similar profiles.
The Index offers cities knowledge and insights in standardised and easy-to-read formats, and can be used to create sustainable strategies and develop solutions across economic, environmental and social conditions.
The Index is currently in the final developmental stage, as we prepare to test the design along with our partners from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a number of Danish municipalities, before we launch a scalable version. We look forward to sharing exciting news with you in the near future!
